Coronavirus COVID-19 Relevant information to understand the situation

Following is some additional terms and contextual information that I hope will be useful in understanding the situation.

I’ve compiled some useful (hopefully useful) information on COVID19/Coronavirus

Following is some additional terms and contextual information that I hope will be useful in understanding the situation.

Updated on March 8th 2020:

  • Vaccines (I’ll write a separate post on vaccines)
    • Typically, it takes a long time to develop the vaccines; (typically in the US, it takes about 2 years for FDA approval). However, the mutual cooperation shown by various countries and their research labs is unprecedented. This means there is a chance of a vaccine proposed and tested outside the United States at a rate that would not be possible otherwise. That gives me hope that it will not take two years to develop but hopefully less than a year.

NPR Seattle’s “The Record” – Romance Panel

Recently, I had the privilege to appear for a romance panel set by NPR Seattle’s “The Record” show on KUOW by Bill Radke and talented editor Sarah Leibovitz

I was so honored to be a part of this, specially considering I am newbie author. If you’d like to hear why reading romance books and writing romance is feminist in nature, please do have a listen.

It is the third segment in the episode aired on February 3rd 2020, 3:20 PM.

Us in the all official studio
Us in the all official studio with Bill Radke
(From Right) Jasmine Silvera, Olivia Waite, and Shree C. Aier

This was my first time being interviewed, let alone something as significant as NPR. Although I have some experience at the mic because of my podcast, this was still intense. The whole interview was a blur, we must have talked for more than an hour but the ultimate interview was edited (thankfully coz I did ramble) to about 22 minutes. Here I am with Olivia Waite, and Jasmine Silvera.

Check it out for a positive take on the romance industry and the romance genre.
